No. 23 Vols drop to 0-2 in SEC with loss to Auburn

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - No. 23 Tennessee hoops dropped to 0-2 in SEC play following a 94-84 home loss to Auburn on Tuesday.

The Vols were outworked by the Tigers, as Auburn grabbed 22 offensive boards. 

The Tigers attempted 16 more shots than Tennessee.

Sophomore Lamonte Turner scored a career-high 25 points in the loss. 

Former Tennessee head coach Bruce Pearl led Auburn to its first win in Thompson-Boling arena since Jan. 7, 1998.

Tennessee hosts No. 14 Kentucky on Saturday at 9 p.m. in TBA. The game will be available to watch on the SEC Network.
