Report: Players from Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, others named in FBI probe

(WATE) - A Yahoo Sports exclusive report ties some of the biggest names and programs in college basketball to activity that violates the NCAA's amateurism rules.

Yahoo Sports reviewed hundreds of pages of documents from an FBI probe that monitored multiple targets and listened to more than 4,000 phone calls. The investigation centers around former NBA agent Andy Miller and his agency, ASM Sports.

The investigation includes players and families of players at Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, Michigan State, USC, Alabama and other schools.

The investigation also linked some of college basketball's biggest stars to extra benefits ranging from basic meals to tens of thousands of dollars. The athletes named in the report include Michigan State's Miles Bridges, Alabama's Collin Sexton and Duke's Wendell Carter.

"These allegations, if true, point to systematic failures that must be fixed and fixed now if we want college sports in America," said NCAA president Mark Emmert in a statement Friday. "Simply put, people who engage in this kind of behavior have no place in college sports. They are an affront to all those who play by the rules.
