NASHVILLE (WATE) -- Quarterback Nash Nance disappointed Commodore fans when he chose in-state rival Tennessee Wednesday on National Signing Day.
Nance made a verbal commitment to Vanderbilt last year, but chose instead to join wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers, his teammate at Calhoun (Ga.) High School, by signing with the Vols.
The 'Dores also lost out on highly-touted safety Sharrod Golightly from Decatur, Ga. He decommitted earlier in the week and signed a letter of intent Wednesday with South Carolina.
Despite the disappointing losses, Coach Bobby Johnson pulled together a solid class of recruits. Headlining the group is Rajaan Bennett, a Rivals.com five-star running back from Powder Springs, Ga.
Bennett is expected to see plenty of playing time as a freshmen.
