SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - A man was arrested on a DUI charge in Sevierville this past weekend after he was involved in a two vehicle crash.

David L. Kendrick, 52, is charged with a DUI second offense, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a revoked license, not having automobile insurance, reckless endangerment and having an open alcohol container in his vehicle.

Kendrick was arrested on March 26 by Sevierville police after they said he fled the scene of a crash on Winfield Dunn Parkway.

Kendrick was reportedly leaving a Kroger store in a 1994 Chevrolet Camaro when he collided with a van carrying an Ohio family traveling south on the parkway.

Three children in the van, ages one, five and seven, received what appeared to be minor injuries.

Kendrick was caught on foot shortly afterward behind a Staples store on the parkway.

Police said more charges against Kendrick are pending.
