Vicki Lintzv, Bearden High School

Teacher of the Month - February 2010

Vicki Lintzv, Bearden High School

Our February teacher of the month is Vicki Lintzv, a special needs teacher at Bearden High School.

Ms. Lintzv works with children with aspergers and autism. She has been nominated for her patience and skills when working with special needs children.

A few of the many reasons Ms. Lintzv was chosen are:

  • Her ability to teach daily living skills.
  • Three students that I am aware of in the special needs program are attending college.
  • A child from this program has been accepted, with scholarships, into two good colleges.
  • Ms. Lintzv helps her students gain enormous confidence.
  • She teaches students with aspergers the social skills to function in the real world. Skills including how to read facial expressions which allows the students to interact in social environments.
  • One parent said that through Ms. Lintzv's guidance and teaching, this parent's child is like a new person. This child has more confidence and is so much happier.
