Melissa Childress

Melissa Childress  grew up in Belpre, Ohio.  She has been practicing in the dental profession since the early 90's.  She began her dental career with the Red Cross Dental Program.  She volunteered over 1,000 hours at Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina, at the Base Dental Clinic.  She served in The United States Navy from 1994-2009.  Melissa attended boot camp in Great Lakes, Chicago, IL.  She has been stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, Florida, at New River MCAS in Jacksonville, NC, in Naples, Italy,  and at NAS in Jacksonville, FL. 

She attended Dental Technician "A" School in 1998, and graduated as the Distinguished Graduate of her class.  She has worked in all specialties of dentistry and is certified in coronal polishing, CPR, and nitrous oxide monitoring.  She has been working chair side at Dental Associates of West Knoxville since August, 2008.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, music, and spending time with her family.
