KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The state said Friday that Britton Bridge, LLC. of Mt. Juliet was awarded the contract to tear down and rebuild the Henley Bridge in downtown Knoxville.
Britton Bridge submitted the lowest of three bids for the project at $24,696,969.
The state Department of Transportation is using a website section called "Henley - A Historic Connection" to help get the word out about detours and why the work is needed.
