CLINTON (WATE) - Some of the dogs rescued from a puppy mill in Middle Tennessee will eventually be up for adoption in East Tennessee.

The Animal Rescue Corps rescued more than 100 dogs last week in Warren County.

Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee picked up 10 of the dogs and brought them to the Anderson County Animal Hospital. It's at 286 S. Charles Seivers Boulevard in Clinton.

The dogs will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and have their teeth cleaned.

Then they will be sent to foster homes to make sure they're socialized before they're put up for adoption.

"It takes somebody with patience to deal with them. We hope to get them in homes within a few weeks or so," said Small Breed Rescue President Tyrine Hawthorne.

If you're interested in fostering or adopting one of these dogs, call Small Breed Rescue at 865-426-3955.
