Claiborne County deputies arrest 17 in drug roundup

TAZEWELL (WATE) - Seventeen people were arrested Wednesday during a drug roundup in Claiborne County. Five of the 17 were already in custody on other charges.

The roundup follows a nearly six months undercover investigation by deputies and agents with the Eighth Judicial Drug Task Force.

The officers said more arrests are expected.

Arrested on Wednesday:

  • Tina Marie Monday, 26 - sale and deliver of schedule II. Released on $1,000 bond.
  • Cecil Ray Pierce, 74 - sale and deliver of schedule III in a drug free zone, and sale and deliver of schedule IV in a drug free zone. Released on $2,000 bond.
  • Kimberly Nantz, 39 - sale and deliver of schedule II. Currently being held in Claiborne County Jail.
  • Michael Parker, 56 - fraud obtaining TennCare medication, theft under $500 and sale and deliver schedule III controlled substance. Released on $2,000 bond.
  • Anthony W. Brock, 39 - sale and deliver of schedule II and possession schedule II with intent. Remains in jail on $2,500 bond.
  • Gary Bunch - sale and deliver of schedule II in drug free zone. Released on $2,000 bond.
  • Christopher F. Justice, 34 - sale and deliver of schedule II. Released on $1,000 bond.
  • Gary Ellis - sale and deliver of schedule II. Remains in jail on $1,000 bond.
  • Terrie J. Ellis, 38 - sale and deliver of schedule II. Remains in jail on $1,000 bond.
  • Kelly Lewis, 38 - sale and deliver of schedule II and III. Released from jail on $50,000 bond.
  • Gregory A. Rowe, 48 - sale and deliver of schedule II and IV. Released from jail on $1,000 bond.
  • Richard A. Selover, 23 - sale and deliver of schedule II. Remains in jail on $1,000 bond.
  • Tammy West, 48 - sale and deliver of schedule II, two counts. Released on $2,500 bond.
  • Paul R. Gray, 46 - conspiracy to introduce drugs into penal facility. Released from jail on $2,500 bond.
  • Amanda F. Evans, 32 - conspiracy to introduce drugs into penal facility. Remains in jail on $2,500 bond.
  • Mary Goins, 28 - conspiracy to introduce drugs into penal facility. Released on $2,5000 bond.
  • Dustin Robert Smith, 29 - sale of counterfeit controlled substance and theft under $500. Released on $1,000.
