KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Charges against a Knox County man accused of killing his brother two weeks ago were reduced Friday to second degree murder.
The prosecution made the change from first degree murder as Jerry Stooksbury's case was bound over to the grand jury.
With the move, the judge lowered Stooksbury's bond from $350,000 to $100,000.
Stooksbury, 49, is accused of shooting to death his brother Steven Stooksbury, 46, during an altercation at a home on West Emory Road on July 9.
