ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - Two Hawkins County men were arrested and charged after a meth lab was found in one of their homes.
The sheriff's office says they were called out to 1473 Carters Valley Road in the early morning hours on Monday because of a complaint about a strong odor. When deputies arrived they found the homeowner Calvin Lance Mauk, 36, and Shannon Keith Davis, 34.
They say Mauk claimed the two had just finished a lab, but there was not an active lab.
The deputies then evacuated the home and called a narcotics unit to the scene.
When they arrived, they say they found an active lab inside a bedroom, about six grams of meth around the house, and large amount of "meth lab trash". They say they also found several meth making components in Davis' car.
Both are facing several drug charges.
