Hawkins County deputies make drug bust

Hawkins County deputies make bust with over 1,000 prescription pills

ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - Hawkins County deputies made a bust netting over 1,000 prescription pills.

It started when a deputy noticed Kanima Braford swerving all over on Highway 11W just east of the Highway 70 north intersection Tuesday night.

The deputy said when he pulled Braford over, she seemed impaired.

Braford allowed the deputy to search her Honda Civic. Authorities said the deputy found a gallon zip lock bag filled with Hydrocodone pills. They say it was hidden in a black box.

Pills in over the counter and prescription bottles and snort straws were also found in Braford's purse.

Braford is now facing several drug charges.
