KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two women were killed Saturday night in a Knox County car crash, and the sheriff's office says alcohol and speed were contributing factors.

Corrin Reynolds, 31, of Knoxville, was traveling eastbound at Dougs Way on Raccoon Valley Road when her green 1997 Subaru Impreza left the roadway and struck a culvert.

The crash killed two of her passengers. Erin Turnipseed, 29, of Powell, and Sarah Latham, 22, of Seymour, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Reynolds and the other passenger, Shawn Page, 29, of Knoxville, were flown to UT Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say no one was wearing a seatbelt. Charges are pending.
