National collection agency to move to Alcoa, create 125 jobs

ALCOA (WATE) - Windham Professionals, a national collection agency, will open a location in Alcoa, creating 125 jobs initially.

The company, which provides collection services in the education, commercial, government and healthcare industries, will locate in the Tyson Centre Building at 110 McGhee Tyson Boulevard.

Employees will be hired in accounting, administrative, human resources and training, beginning around Feb. 1.

"This is another solid addition to the community made possible by the city of Alcoa and Blount County, along with Gov. Bill Haslam who is to be commended for his continued support of the ongoing business developments in Alcoa," said Bryan Daniels, president and CEO of Blount Partnership.

Windham has been in operation nearly 30 years. It's an International Association of Commercial Collectors, Inc. Certified Collection Agency as well as a certified member of the Commercial Collection Agency Association and the Commercial Law League of America.

"Windham's expansion is another boost to the region's economy and a positive sign about the strength of the Alcoa area. These professional jobs show the depth of our diverse economic development," said Alcoa Mayor Don Mull.

The company has five locations nationwide, including a facility in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
