KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Some of the staff of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" visited the Knoxville Zoo Thursday, but not as tourists.
Designer Paulie DiMeo picked up Edie the elephant's artwork for the new home Extreme Makeover is building for Daniel and Mandy Watson and their three adopted children.
Edie painted two pictures that will be displayed in the home on Robinson Road.
"She painted two beautiful paintings, one with a red heart in it and one was very Thanksgiving colors because this is a Thanksgiving episode," DiMeo said. "It will air next Thanksgiving."
DiMeo says Extreme Makeover wanted to incorporate work done by African elephants in the home because of the Watson family's ties to Africa. Their youngest son, Silas, was adopted from Ethiopia.
