KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Among the volunteers helping to build the Watsons a new home at the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build site was 70-year-old Herman Bolton, who has been a drywaller for 46 years. He came to volunteer with his sons to help the family and their children.
"He got wind of it and said I've gotta go help them, I've gotta go help the family," said Bolton's son Brad. "He loves kids and he wanted to go help the kids."
Herman worked on the site for more than 12 hours, helping to drywall the new home. He said his years in construction prepared him well for Saturday's work.
