KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Hundreds of volunteers have given their time for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build.

Many of the volunteers are students from the University of Tennessee.

Sunday morning a large group from the Kappa Delta sorority joined in to help.

"I thought it would be a great idea to go out as my sorority and represent KD here," said Kappa Delta volunteer Morgan Crutchfield.

This group got to the build site at one in the morning. They said staying up late was not a problem.
"At first it was a shock," said Crutchfield. "I'm not going to lie, but I mean it's for this family who needs it, so it's worth it."

"These hours are like our prime time anyway's, like two o'clock," said Kappa Delta volunteer Abby Morris. "The late hours are fine. The cold, we'll get used to it once we start moving around."

The group got busy right away and was asked to start taking cabinets into the Watson's new home.
"It's really nice," said Kappa Delta volunteer Kaley Disabatino. "There's no paint or anything on the walls, but we were getting cabinets in. It looks like it's going to be really pretty."

The Kappa Delta girls say they did not mind the hard hats messing up their hair.
"No, no, we're not prissy girls," said Crutchfield. "We got it. We like the hard hats."

All of them say they are just glad to be part of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition experience, and play a small part in building the Watson family a new home.
"I'm just really excited to be able to give back to this family," said Morris. "I know they are deserving, so it's just exciting to do something for someone else."
