KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Several local artists are participating in the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Many of their creations will be used inside the Watson's new home, but some will be seen outside.
Knoxville set designer Cheri Van Bynen-Perry was asked to do a special project.
"One of the people from Extreme Makeover called and said can you make us a 12 foot tall cornucopia," said Van Bynen-Perry. "I said let me think about it."
She did not have to think long until she agreed to create the gigantic cornucopia.
The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode will not air until Thanksgiving, so that is why such a large turkey themed prop was needed.
The cornucopia will be used to store donated school supplies for a portion of the show.
Van Bynen-Perry says making the prop was not easy.
"I got a week and no money, so who wants to give materials, and people did," she said.
A majority of the supplies was donated, and with a few people to help, the cornucopia was complete in record time.
"I really love the challenge," said Van Bynen-Perry, "This of course is a good cause. That is really motivational to make it look good, plus it's going to be seen be a bazillion people."
The cornucopia is made with a wire frame, and weaved with plastic and wood.
Van Bynen-Perry says after they finish filming it she will store the cornucopia in her barn for a year just in case they need it again.
This is the first time she has been asked to make a cornucopia.
"I can't say I've had a lot of call for large cornucopias," she said.
The large cornucopia is also water proof.
