KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A three-vehicle crash in North Knoxville Monday afternoon caused a car to flip and injured two people.

The vehicles collided at 12:42 p.m. on N. Broadway between Claiborne Place and Atlantic Avenue.

Police say Harold Goldston, 79, was going north on Broadway when he ran into the front of a vehicle facing southbound in the center turn lane.

The second vehicle, driven by Robert Darby, 38, was about to turn into the parking lot of a Wendy's fast food restaurant when it was hit.

Goldston's car flipped and landed on its top in front of a third vehicle that was going south on Broadway.

The driver of the third vehicle, Bedelia Gascho, 61, couldn't avoid hitting the overturned car, according to police.

Goldston was taken to UT Medical Center Vehicle for treatment and Gascho was taken to Tennova Hospital.

Darby declined medical treatment.
