KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man robbed a West Knoxville bank Monday afternoon and investigators are asking for help to identify him.
The robber went in First People's Bank at 7100 Kingston Pike at 2:20 p.m., brandished a dark-colored, semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
After he was given an undetermined amount of money, the robber left on foot. He headed west on Kingston Pike.
Witnesses said the robber appeared to be 35 to 45 years old, 5'8" to 5'10" and weighed around 140-150 pounds.
He wore a plain black baseball cap; a black, zip-up style hoodie; blue jeans and tennis shoes. The shoes may have been Nikes because they had a white background with a dark-colored swoosh.
