MORRISTOWN (WATE) - The seven-year-old boy wounded in an accidental shooting has died from his injuries.
Officers say Jaymee Steward, a first grader at Lincoln Heights Elementary, was shot at a home on Walnut Drive Monday evening.
He passed away Thursday night at UT Medical Center.
Officers say he was shot in the head while he and his two brothers played with a 22-caliber revolver they thought was a toy. The other boys are four and 13.
No charges are being filed in the case.
