NASHVILLE (WATE) - Vanderbilt head football coach James Franklin has needed little time turning around perernial cellar-dweller Vanderbilt.
After taking a two-win team to a six-win season, he's now reaping the rewards with a big recruiting class. Some observers have not only called it the best crop of recruits the Commodores have signed in the modern era, but one of the nation's best.
Among the players committing to play for Vandy is Tennessee's top running back, Brian Kimbrow from Memphis.
Another of the state's top players, quarterback Patton Robinette from Maryville, has also signed a letter of intent.
