KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Firefighters are investigating the cause of a Saturday morning trailer fire.
The fire started just before 5 a.m. on the 2500 block of Big Logan Way in Knox County.
According to officials, the trailer was abandoned. It was completely destroyed by the flames, and fire officials said the small amount of space in the trailer may have sped up the process.
"Obviously the square footage in the trailer is a lot smaller, which could cause the fire to move a little bit quicker," Battalion Chief Jeff Devlin of the Rural Metro Fire Department said. "When you get out stay out, don't go back in for anything."
The blaze spread to a second trailer, but firefighters were able to extinguish it quickly.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
