KNOXVILE (WATE) - Two people were robbed early Tuesday at the Magnuson Hotel on Kingston Pike.
Knoxville police say the robbery happened shortly after 5:30 a.m. when two men forced their way into the victims' hotel room.
The victims told police the suspects had semi-automatic handguns. The victims were tied up with phone cords, then the robbers made off with $2,000 in cash, two cell phones and a laptop then fled.
The victims were not injured.
The suspects are described as two white men. One has short dark hair and a beard and was wearing a white button up shirt. The other was wearing a camouflage hunting mask and an orange shirt.
