KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A train hit a semi-truck Tuesday afternoon in Northwest Knoxville.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened at 1:48 p.m. on Jackson Road near the intersection of Amherst Road.

Thomas Bolden, 49, of New Market, was driving a Keck Enterprise semi-truck westbound when it got stuck. The flatbed he was towing with an earth mover bottomed out on the railroad tracks.

Bolden said he heard the train whistle and saw the cross bars begin to lower as the southbound train approached. He jumped from the truck before the impact.

The Knoxville Fire Department's Hazardous Material Unit contained a small amount of diesel fuel leaking from the truck's saddle tanks.

The CSX train was driven by engineer J.T. Sutton, 39.

Police say no charges will be filed.
