KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Friends of the Knox County Public Library will hold their annual used book sale Saturday, March 10 – Saturday, March 17.
The event will be at the Knoxville Convention Center at the Holiday Inn, World's Fair Park.
The Friends now offer drive-up curbside service. Volunteers will be available to load purchases into cars.
Most hard covers for adults sell for $2; paperbacks are $1.
Hard covers for children cost $1; board books and paperbacks sell for 50 cents or less.
The sale also includes a selection of movies, magazines, music and a rare collection.
The first day of the sale is reserved for members of the Friends. (New members are welcome to join at the door.)
The remaining days are all open to the public.
New this year is an Early Bird Bag Sale for teachers and librarians. On Friday, March 16 the hours from 4:00-8:00 are set aside for these educators to purchase a shopping bag of books for only $5.
The next day the $5 per bag price is extended to the general public.
All proceeds of the sale benefit the Knox County Public Library.
