Man charged with brother's fatal stabbing in South Knoxville

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The man accused of stabbing his brother to death in South Knoxville in January was released from the hospital and taken to jail.

Jason Kitts, 31, is now being held in the Knox County Detention Facility on one count of voluntary manslaughter.

Police said Kitts was sitting in a car with his brother, Travis Kitts, 32, in a Chapman Highway parking lot on January 28 when they got into an argument and stabbed each other.

Travis Kitts was pronounced dead at UT Medical Center.

Jason Kitts has a $25,000 bond.
