William Anthony Smith, 52, pleaded guilty to one count of illegal possession of exotic wildlife and one count of illegal possession of a skunk. He received suspended sentences of 11 months and 29 days, to be served consecutively.
As part of their agreements, the Smiths had to surrender all the animals, which have been cared for by Horse Haven, Tiger Haven, Rainforest Adventures and Young-Williams Animal Center.
The couple is not allowed to have any animals during their probationary period.
The Smiths are subject to random checks by animal control to ensure no animals are on their property.
Knox County sheriff's officers and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency searched the property at 139 Water Road on December 19.
They found at least 100 animals in bad living conditions, including a lynx in a cage in the back yard, a large monkey in a bird cage in the living room, multiple venomous reptiles, dogs, cats, and numerous non-venomous snakes.
Knox County Codes Enforcement condemned the residence after an inspection.
