MANCHESTER, Ky. (WATE) - Road crews in Kentucky began snow and ice operations Friday night as winter weather moved in to the area.
They're treating state routes with salt in Whitley, Knox, Bell and Harlan counties.
Crews urge drivers to use caution because the treatments deter ice and snow buildup, but ice may still form on road surfaces as temperatures drop below freezing.
