PIGEON FORGE (WATE) - Great Smoky Mountains National Park is recruiting volunteers to provide information at a park bookstore in Dollywood.
The park's cooperating association, Great Smoky Mountains Association, needs volunteers to help answer questions and staff a hands-on exhibit table at the store called Ranger Rob's.
The store sells guides, maps, outdoor apparel and books focusing on the Smokies.
Volunteers will work with GSMA employees. They're asked to commit to at least one three-hour shift per week at the exhibit. Shift hours vary depending on the season, but will be during mid-morning or late afternoon.
The season runs from late March through September.
Interested people are required to attend training and orientation sessions provided by the park and GSMA.
