LENOIR CITY (WATE) - A medical technician in Lenoir City was arrested Wednesday for allegedly raping a female patient.
The alleged incident involving medical technician Abdalla Fadul Mohamed, 25, of Knoxville, happened February 8 at a facility at 689 Medical Park Drive.
The patient was at the facility for an EEG (electroencephalograph) test used to measure the electrical activity of the brain.
Police say Mohamed took the victim to a room and conducted the test while she sat in a recliner. But when the test was finished, he's accused of holding the patient down, taking off her pants and raping her.
The patient told police she tried to scream for help, but Mohamed said no one would hear her.
The woman left the facility, met her mother and reported the incident to police.
Mohamed is due in court in March for a preliminary hearing.
