KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A woman who was arrested in Nashville for trespassing on the property of country singer Kenny Chesney said she first came to Knoxville to meet the star's family.

6 News contacted the singer's aunt at her place of business on Wednesday night. She said she has never met Melissa Carol Mansfield and just found out about the incident.

Mansfield, of California, told deputies in Williamson County that she was in a relationship with the star.

Mansfield claimed she had visited the singer's family in Knoxville, then boarded a Greyhound bus to Nashville, where she claims Chesney sent a limousine to the bus station and she rode in it to his mansion.

A spokesperson for Chesney says he has no association with Mansfield.
