Maryville murder suspect returned to Tennessee, charged with homicide

MARYVILLE (WATE) - A Maryville man accused of murder who was arrested trying to cross into Canada has been returned to Tennessee.

Clinton Garrett Walton, 30, was extradited back to Blount County on Saturday night.

Walton was arrested on February 11 near Detroit trying to cross the border. He is suspected in the murder of Brian David Fann, 37, on February 10.

Walton is being held at the Blount County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $1.1 million.

He faces charges of criminal homicide as well as two counts of auto theft.
