KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify a man who robbed a bank Wednesday morning in Knox County's Karns community.
The robber went in the Home Federal Bank at 7204 Oak Ridge Highway at 10:35 a.m., threatened to have a bomb and demanded money.
Witnesses described the robber as appearing to be in his mid to late 20s, between 6'and 6'2" and weighing approximately 150-160 pounds.
He wore blue jeans with a dark colored, pullover hoodie and a dark-colored, possibly camouflage, piece of material covering his face.
After getting an undetermined amount of money, the robber left in a black late 90s to early 2000s model Ford Taurus.
Anyone with information should call the FBI at 865-544-0751 or the Knox County Sheriff's Office at 865-215-2243.
