Woman who trespassed at Kenny Chesney's home faces judge

NASHVILLE (WATE) - The woman arrested for trespassing on country singer Kenny Chesney's property is now out of jail.

Six News reported last Wednesday that deputies found Melissa Mansfield, 31, at Chesney's home near the pool, drinking wine.

She was in court today for the first time on charges of criminal trespassing and public intoxication.

Mansfield told the judge she wanted a court-appointed attorney, but after reviewing her financial documents, the judge refused her request.

The judge retired the trespassing charges and dismissed the public intoxication charges for one year.

Mansfield's charges will be thrown out after that time, as long as she stays out of trouble and stays away from Chesney.
