SEYMOUR (WATE) - An early morning fire destroyed a rental home in Sevier County early Thursday.
Seymour volunteer firefighters say the flames broke out at 1998 McCleary Road around 3:45 a.m. Firefighters were on scene by 4:00 a.m.
The home was a total loss, but the owner says no one was living there. The tenants had moved out the day before.
The fire rekindled shortly after 6:00 a.m., but firefighters were able to get it back under control.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
