KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man was killed Thursday morning in a T-bone crash in West Knox County.

The sheriff's office identified the victim as Tony Le, 21, of 8501 Antler Lane in Knoxville.

The crash happened shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Hardin Valley Road at Schaeffer Road.

Le was driving  red Honda Civic as he exited Pellissippi Parkway, but his car veered into the oncoming lane of traffic while he was coming down the ramp.

The Civic was T-boned by a silver Dodge Dakota coming up the ramp.

The driver of the Dakota, Larry Allison Jones, 62, of Lenoir City, was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Officers believe Le was going too fast for the road conditions, according to the sheriff's office.
