NEWPORT (WATE) - The mother of a Cocke County boy who was attacked by dogs last summer died Friday, March 2 at age 30.
Christy Williams passed away at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was diagnosed a few weeks ago with a severe form of lupus.
Her son, Brandon, was 10 years old in August 2011 when he was badly injured by two dogs as he tried to take a package to a neighbor.
The dogs tore off Brandon's ears and bit his arm, leg and face.
Williams was buried Monday morning in the Phillips (Open Door) Cemetery.
