KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A seven-year-old girl in Knox County died from her injuries Wednesday night in an accident at a swing.

The sheriff's office identified the child as Josie Fine. The accident was at a neighbor's property, 7757 Heiskell Road.

The girl was in front of the wooden swing that was suspended from utility poles when deputies say the top piece fell on her.

Josie's father started CPR. Rural/Metro responded and continued CPR.

The girl was taken to UT Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Josie was a student at Brickey-McCloud Elementary School, where counselors are on site to help with any student and staff needs.

Principal Robbie Norman released this statement Thursday. "I appreciate the support that has flooded our school ranging from parents to Knox County Schools' counselors and psychologists. They have been amazing! We will miss our precious Josie...a super fun-loving child who will be remembered as a girl who loved to laugh, play, and have fun!"

Neighbors who knew Josie are upset. Betty White said, "She was a sweet little girl and we loved to see her swing and jump on her trampoline."
