MARYVILLE (WATE) - Two people were arrested Thursday afternoon when the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force says officers busted a meth lab in Blount County.

Officers said they found the components of a meth lab inside a home on Dewberry Drive. They say it looks like meth was cooked recently.

David Shayne Parrott, 27, and Gina Gayle Bishop, 56, both of Dewberry Drive, were taken into custody. Both had to be decontaminated.

Bishop is charged with promoting the manufacture of meth.

Parrott is charged with maintaining a dwelling where controlled substances are manufactured or used.
