WARTBURG (WATE) - Dustin Wayne Morgan pleaded guilty Tuesday in the fatal shooting of his acquaintance, William "Bill" Miller, 60, in Sunbright in 2010.
Morgan was charged with first degree murder, but his attorney, Pat Cooley, and Assistant District Attorney General Frank Harvey made a plea agreement.
Instead, Morgan pleaded guilty to second degree murder. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and received credit for his jail time.
Miller was found at his home in April 2010 with a gunshot wound to his head. Morgan had been invited there to look at Miller's guns.
The judge ordered Morgan to report to the Morgan County Jail on May 10.
