CARYVILLE (WATE) - Wide loads traveling on north and southbound Interstate 75 in Campbell County must use detour routes as the state continues repairs to a landslide site.
One lane in each direction is open near mile marker 143. Both lanes are on the northbound side of the interstate.
The landslide happened in March along I-75 southbound. It's now the site of a massive repair project.
The detours are:
I-75 southbound to Knoxville and west: From I-75 South, Take Exit 62 (Mt. Vernon) in Kentucky and follow U.S. 25 to State Route 461 to State Route 80 to State Route 914 (Bypass) to U.S. 27 into Tennessee and follow State Route 63 back to I-75 at Exit 141 (Oneida/Huntsville).
I-75 northbound from Knoxville: Take Exit 141 (Oneida/Huntsville) in Tennessee and follow State Route 63 to U.S. 27 into Kentucky. Then take State Route 914 (Bypass) to State Route 80 to State Route 461 to U.S. 25 back to I-75 at Exit 62 (Mt. Vernon).
I-75 southbound to east of Knoxville: From I-75 South, Take Exit 29 (Corbin) in Kentucky, follow US25E into Morristown, Tennessee, to I-81 South at Exit 8 (US25E/Morristown/White Pine) and follow to its junction with I-40.
I-75 northbound to Knoxville and east: From I-40, Take I-81 North to Exit 8 (US25E/Morristown/White Pine) and follow US25E into Kentucky and onto I-75 at Exit 29 (Corbin).
