KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A funeral service for Blount County Rescue Squad Assistant Chief John Yu will be held Friday in Knoxville.
Yu, 56, passed away at his home on Saturday.
Receiving of friends will be held Thursday, May 31, 4-8 p.m. at Rose Mortuary, 6200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville.
A funeral service will be Friday, June 1, at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 620 North Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville.
Burial will take place afterwards at Edgewood Cemetery on Gallaher View Road.
Yu had been with the Blount County Rescue Squad since 2006 and was with the Knoxville Volunteer Emergency Rescue Squad for 29 years before that.
