HUNTSVILLE (WATE) - Maria Jeffers has been named as the new director of the Scott County Homeless Shelter a week after the murder of the former director.
Jeffers was the case manager and assistant to former director Jerry Voiles.
Investigators said Voiles was killed with a shotgun at the shelter the morning of May 29.
The suspect, Josiah Samuel Jones, 29, of Helenwood, has pleaded not guilty.
