LAFOLLETTE (WATE) - A fire officials believe was accidental damaged a LaFollette apartment Saturday night and temporarily displaced several families.

The blaze at Lindsay's Apartments, 111 E. Central Street, was reported around 8:00 p.m.

The fire started in one apartment on the second floor. It was contained to that unit, no others were damaged.

Twenty-two people were temporarily displaced. The Red Cross assisted them and the residents were allowed back on Sunday afternoon.

LaFollette Fire Chief Gary Byrd says the fire apparently started on a sofa, and no foul play is suspected.

LaFollette police arrested a person at the scene for interfering with firefighters.
