MASCOT (WATE) - Officers arrested a woman in Mascot Sunday night for allegedly stabbing a man during a domestic incident.

Kristie Lynn Hensley, 35, is charged with aggravated assault. The incident was at their home on Three Points Road.

Gillis Gilliam told officers that during an argument with Hensley, she picked up a kitchen knife and said, "I will cut your heart out." Then she slashed at his chest.

Gilliam said he tried to block Hensley, slammed her to the ground and threw the knife across the kitchen. Then he called 911.

When officers arrived, Gilliam had lacerations on his left upper chest and stomach and markings on his back. Hensley had a hand print on the left side of her face.

The sheriff's office says the pair had been drinking at the time of the incident.
