California company expands freezer gel pack recall

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WATE) - A recall of freezer gel packs is being expanded to nearly 900,000 packs.

Back in January, California Innovations pulled its expandable lunch box sold with the gel packs.     Now, the company is recalling even more products that were sold with the packs.

If the packs become damaged, they can leak. Ingesting the chemicals in large amounts can cause illness.

The products were sold nationwide between July 2007 and December 2008 for between $5 and $28. For more information, go to the Consumer Product Safety Commission website.
