HARROGATE (WATE) - Claiborne County deputies are investigating a Tuesday afternoon shooting that started as a dispute between neighbors.
Sheriff David Ray says the incident happened on Bug Hole Road.
He says Lee Calvin Carmack shot his neighbor four times with a shotgun, but the shots were fired from too great a distance to cause life threatening injuries.
"He's got a lot of buckshot in him," said Sheriff Ray about the victim's injuries.
The sheriff says the suspect is in custody and charges are pending.
