COSBY (WATE) - A Gatlinburg man died four days after a head-on collision in Sevier County.

The crash happened the night of June 7 on Highway 321 at the intersection with Rocky Grove Road.

A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2004 Jaguar X2E driven by William L. McDonald, 67, was going southbound on Highway 321 when it crossed the center line into the northbound lanes.

Although an oncoming 2001 Dodge Intrepid swerved to the shoulder, the Jaguar struck it head-on.

The driver of the Dodge, Charlotte K. Eriksen, 48, of Gatlinburg, was injured.

McDonald died at UT Medical Center on June 11. THP says the hospital reported the death on June 14.
