PIGEON FORGE (WATE) - Dollywood's Splash Country is adding a second history-making coaster to the Pigeon Forge attraction.

East Tennessee's own Dolly Parton, dressed as "Splash Woman," announced the addition of RiverRush, Tennessee's first water coaster, set to open in May 2013.

RiverRush will be the product of a new generation of water coasters that combines powerful climbs, plunging drops, thrilling twists and tight turns.

RiverRush's track will measure 1,175 feet, including a 45 degree drop. The track will cover more than an acre in a newly developed area near the park's Big Bear Plunge ride.
